January Newsletter: What's the Latest With Our Team

In just a few short days the Created Equal team and I will be in our nation’s capital – to stand together in solidarity for women, both born and preborn, and all babies who are vulnerable to abortion. We will be reaching out to the crowds at the inauguration, and conducting outreach at “Women’s March on Washington” - a protest of our president-elect and what he has claimed to stand for. This group of radical feminists says:

“In the spirit of democracy and honoring the champions of human rights, dignity, and justice who have come before us, we join in diversity to show our presence in numbers too great to ignore. The Women’s March on Washington will send a bold message to our new administration on their first day in office, and to the world that women's rights are human rights.”
But what human rights are they speaking of? Born women, that’s who. It grieves me to see so many discriminating against the preborn. “Human rights” they say, but equality isn’t equality if you only give rights to a select group of people. In this case, born people like you. You see, if we (as humans) can give human rights, like the right to life, then we also can take them away. And that is where so many are fooled. They believe that this certain group of tiny, defenseless humans don’t have to be acknowledged as people if it’s not convenient for us. Here is the problem with that: Humans don’t give human rights. Our Creator gives them.

We are driving to D.C. to reach a lost and lonely generation. A generation that doesn’t know how to look beyond themselves and recognize their need for the Savior. I’m looking forward to this trip with nervous anticipation because I know many people that I will meet will not be happy to be faced with the reality of the injustice that they support. They will be upset that we are letting the victims of abortion speak for themselves by showing their pictures, and my team and I will have a perfect opportunity to ask them why they support something that they can’t look at. We will be able to present evidence about the humanity of the preborn and explain why it is wrong to take human life. It’s always wrong to intentionally kill innocent humans, and abortion does exactly that, but it’s wrong because we are created in the image of our Maker, in the likeness of the Living God, and he hates the shedding of innocent blood.

Instead of my typical newsletter, I just want to ask you to pray for our team this month. Please pray for divine appointments-that the Lord would send us people that are open to hearing truth, who are considering abortion, and those who need to hear the gospel and will listen. And then pray that our team will speak exactly as the Holy Spirit directs us. Thank You, and happy new year!
