“I TRIED to change her mind, but it was YOU who did!” A Young Mother Chooses Life!

“I TRIED to change her mind, but it was YOU who did!”



On Friday, January 5th, my colleagues and I were at the local abortion facilities in Columbus, reaching the women going inside. It was a painfully cold morning! At “Founders Women’s Health Center,” one of Columbus’s two surgical abortion facilities, a couple of ladies pulled in the parking lot.

They did not get out of the car, but sat in their vehicle - apparently getting ready to head inside the facility where one precious preborn child would be violently torn apart in her mother’s womb, never leaving there alive.

My colleague and friend Joseph, our Operations Officer, began talking to the young girl in the passenger seat. The ladies opened the doors of the car to hear Joseph better, even though the weather was so cold. 

Joseph began to appeal to her for the life of her preborn child – telling her about the beauty of the life inside of her, how the abortionist’s forceps would end this innocent life, offering hope that it was not too late to let her child live, and telling her of resources that are available to her. 

He pleaded with her NOT to not keep her appointment, and gave them a brochure for a pregnancy resource center down the road.

This young girl began to cry. Joseph continued to encourage her, speaking truth into her situation, telling her of her value, and that of her child. 
The mother of this young girl came out of the car and walked up to Joseph – then, with tears in her eyes, gave him a hug! Speaking of her daughter, she told him:

“I TRIED to change her mind, but it was YOU who did!”

She got back in their car, backed out, and pulled away – heading to the pro-life pregnancy resource center down the street.

A BABY SAVED, PRAISE GOD! What a way to start the new year! 
We continue to praise and thank the Lord for His working through us. Please continue to pray with us for this young girl, her preborn child, and for their salvation!

A Crazy Week in Washington

“…And such were some of you.” I Cor. 6:11 These words went through my mind, and I turned away from the rest of our team as tears began to drip down my face. I was thinking of how merciful God has been to me, the redemption I have experienced, and how lavishly He has poured out His grace on me.  This took place while our team was in D.C. at the Women’s March on Washington. After a turbulent day of outreach, we were heading out and our group had stopped to let the rest of our team catch up with us. As I looked across the masses, one thing that they all had in common struck me: they were all hurt and without hope of healing.  It started to make sense: their anger, violence, and hatred. They are a lost people, reacting to their wounds in the only way they know how. Christ is our healer, and people without Christ are also without healing. December 2016 - Reflection

This month I have been reflecting over what has happened in 2016, and the best word that comes to mind is: blessed . I’m blessed with an amazing family. I’m blessed with a job that I am not only passionate about, but also one that I love. I’m blessed with like-minded colleagues who love each other – they really have become some of the best friends I have. I am blessed with a Godly team of friends who stand with me, pray for me, and donate to support my work. I am humbled. Back in December of 2015, God was preparing my heart to move away from home to Columbus to do His work with Created Equal. Since then I have grown so much personally--in my walk with God, in my faith, in my ability to defend my beliefs, and many other ways. One opportunity I’ve had to share Christ was when I approached a homeless man at a laundromat.
