Disrupting a Pro-Abortion Party

Our team just returned from the March for Life and the “Women’s March” in Washington D.C. This year the Women’s March was different in that people were engaging with us in dialogue! Sure, we were shouted down this year too, but not the entire time. A couple people even changed their minds on abortion being OK all the time! Some people that we shared the gospel with were receptive, one of which, I remember vividly.

Chris (above picture) was agnostic but also anti-abortion. I asked him about his foundation for human value, and he admitted that he had none. I didn’t have as much time as I would have liked to share the Gospel with Chris, but I know that the Lord is not limited by my ability. Pray with me that other Christians around Chris will speak the truth of the Gospel to him, and that he will see the inconsistency of his beliefs and recognize that our value comes only from our Creator.

As I was listening in on parts of the rally, I heard “ministers” and clergy “pray” and give religious talks. It was sickening. They claimed to know God, while at the same time they celebrate the shedding of innocent blood. It’s so hard to watch them choosing to follow evil.

Though we were still quite unwelcome, it was much less hostile than 2018 or 2017. There are a bunch of disagreements within the movement, which probably caused at least part of the decrease in pro-abortion Women’s Marchers this year. Hopefully people’s eyes are being opened to the truth of what these dangerous ideas are about. They claim to desire justice and equality, but glory in their ability to kill preborn children. My friend Sam said it best:

“We are here to disrupt a party about abortion. No one should get to celebrate legalized abortion and not see what it is they’re supporting.”

She is holding up her sign to block the little aborted baby on my friend Silas’s sign. The irony is incredible.

“Preborn women are the only group of women that the Women’s March supports the oppression and outright killing of” - I told the people around me during our protest.

3) Speaking to the crowd at the March for Life, encouraging them to keep up the fight, and reminding them why we march. We march to end the marching, to represent the victims of abortion, to share in their suffering. We march so that these little boys and girls won’t die alone.

4) "Together we fight for all" this Planned Parenthood sign at the Women's March says. We know that's not true. "All" does not include the babies that are being killed at Planned Parenthood facilities all across the country. Pray with us for an end to abortion, and for repentance for all who facilitate, condone, and allow the killing of preborn children.
